Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a field sales professional in Massachusetts to sell pest management services and products to residential customers. You will assess needs, inspect homes for pests, and present tailored solutions based on findings.

Related sales experience and/or training is impressive.
Prefer at least 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.

Responsibilities

Sell pest management services and products to new and existing residential customers.
Assess customer needs through consultation and analysis of company products and services.
Visually inspect homes for pests, harborage, and entry points.
Sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance based on inspection findings.
Collaborate with the Customer Service Center, Inside Sales department, and Technicians.
Partner with the Branch Manager to identify revenue streams and service opportunities.
Develop proposals to resolve pest issues and propose additional household service enhancements.
Complete home diagrams using the Sales CRM.
Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
Provide expert knowledge for new service installations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
A valid driver’s license from your current state of residence
Strong social, customer service, and communication skills
Related sales experience and/or training is impressive
Prefer at least 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience
Travel up to 100% of time within assigned territory(s)
Ability to move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 11–20 lbs. frequently
Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
Comfort dealing with spiders, flies, mosquitos, rodents, and other pests
Ability to enter basements, crawl spaces, attics, and other small spaces
Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and maintain vehicle and equipment cleanliness
Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
Ability to work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways

Core Competencies

Demonstrates expertise in pest management sales, customer consultation, and service proposal development. Proficient in using Sales CRM for tracking sales performance and managing customer interactions.
