Job summary

Orkin is seeking motivated individuals in Illinois to join its pest protection team, offering a hands-on career in a recession-resistant industry. No prior pest control experience is required, as a paid training program will prepare you to protect homes and businesses.

You’ll inspect and install pest control systems as part of a crew, perform attic and crawlspace services, and communicate clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with metal braking to shape components is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain a state pesticide license within 90 days (training provided).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work safely in attics or crawlspaces.
• Must wear PPE including an OSHA-compliant respirator as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and install pest and home protection systems.
• Work collaboratively on a crew of technicians to complete a job.
• Complete attic and crawlspace services, including encapsulation and insulation.
• Light carpentry work.
• Communicate clearly with customers.
• Maintain company equipment and complete reports via handheld device.
