Job summary

Ecolab’s Pest Elimination team in Lakeland, FL seeks a Pest Control Technician Trainee to protect public health, food safety, and property with science-based pest solutions. You will train extensively, gain licensing, and grow toward service, sales, or management roles within a field-based environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to work overnights/weekends, plus a 5-week paid training period in Eagan, MN.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of work or military experience.
• A current and valid Driver’s License with no restrictions.
• Availability to work overnight shifts and be on call during off-hours and weekends as needed.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must obtain pest certification and/or business licensing per state/local law.
• Background check required after job offer.
• Drug test including THC required after job offer.
• Immigration sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Learn pest detection, elimination, and prevention techniques through a 5-week paid training program.
• Establish effective relationships with commercial customers, including hospitality and foodservice.
• Partner with customers on best practices to identify and solve pest elimination needs.
• Maintain expertise in Ecolab’s products and services to enhance service and sales.
• Document structural, sanitation, and pest issues using handheld equipment.
• Deliver timely, cost-effective, high-quality service under supervision.
• Obtain required pest control licensing and/or certifications as mandated.
