Job summary

ECOLAB in Salem, OR seeks a Pest Control Technician Trainee to join our Pest Elimination team and protect public health and commercial facilities with science-based pest solutions. You’ll enter a 5-week paid training program, learn detection, elimination and prevention, and advance toward a career in service, sales or management.

The role is a daytime, Mon–Fri position with travel for training. Starting pay is $24/hour during training; long-term compensation ranges from $53,600 to $80,300

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of work or military experience.
• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Ability to work overnight shifts and be on call during off-hours and weekends.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local law.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Immigration sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 5-week paid training program to learn pest detection, elimination, and prevention techniques.
• Establish relationships with commercial customers including hospitality and foodservice.
• Partner with customers on best practices to identify and solve pest elimination needs.
• Maintain expertise in Ecolab's product and service offerings to enhance service and sales.
• Use handheld equipment to document structural, sanitation, and pest issues.
• Deliver timely, cost-effective, and high-quality service under supervision.
• Obtain required pest control licensing and/or certification as mandated by state/local law.
