Job summary

Nashville Zoo seeks a Pest Control Technician to design, maintain, and evaluate a comprehensive pest control program using chemical and IPM approaches. You will work under veterinary oversight to protect animals, guests, and facilities.

Responsibilities include reducing pest harborage, communicating with Zoological Managers, and ensuring safe chemical practices. The role requires available schedule across days including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Tennessee C7 pest control license required.
• Experience in pest control applications, preferably in licensed capacity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IPM strategies to prevent pest harborage.
• Coordinate with Zoo staff and city officials on pest-related issues.
• Safely apply chemical controls and manage waste and supplies.
• Maintain documentation and reports for IPM activities.
