DoD Clearance: TS/SCIWe are seeking a Personnel Security Specialist to support our growing Special Access Program portfolio in Cedar Rapids. The position will be responsible for providing oversight to ensure compliance of security requirements and to maintain security posture of assigned programs and areas.
What You Will Do:
• Develop, implement, and maintain personnel security protocols, procedures, and standards
• Evaluate personnel security suitability and eligibility for Special Access Program (SAP) access
• Collect required documentation and prepare Program Access Request (PAR) packages for submittal to government
• Maintain security databases and personnel security files in accordance with government requirements
• Gather required details and prepare reportable information reports for the government
What You Will Learn:
• Gain knowledge on communicating with management, peers and learn how to apprises internal stakeholders of security changes in government security requirements and procedures.
• Learn the reporting and metrics standards that are needed to for leadership tracking
• Learn and ensure all standards necessary to develop and maintain a security program in compliance with government requirements are met.
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
• Ideal candidate must have a theoretical knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
