DoD Clearance: TS/SCIWe are seeking a Physical Security Specialist to support our growing Special Access Program portfolio in Cedar Rapids. This position will be responsible for maintaining a compliant physical security program and accreditations for 30+ program areas in accordance with DoD Manual 5205.07 Volumes 1-4, NISPOM, ICD 705, and related Industrial Security Guidance Manuals or Special Program Security directives.
What You Will Do:
• Develop, implement, and maintain physical security protocols, procedures, and standards
• Conduct physical security surveys, identifying vulnerabilities and making recommendations to enhance security
• Act as Site Security Manager during construction of new/renovated program areas; provide security guidance during design and construction phases
• Prepare and maintain required documentation: Construction Security Plan, Fixed Facility Checklists, TEMPEST Checklists, Compartmented Area Checklists, Co-use/Joint-use Agreements
What You Will Learn:
• Gain knowledge on communicating with management, peers and learn how to apprises internal stakeholders of security changes in government security requirements and procedures.
• Learn the reporting and metrics standards that are needed to for leadership tracking
• Learn and ensure all standards necessary to develop and maintain a security program in compliance with government requirements are met.
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
• Ideal candidate must have working knowledge of physical security concepts and requirements supporting the National Industrial Security Program (NISP)
