Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) at United States-Illinois-Great Lakes seeks an on-site full-time Customer Service Associate to handle cash transactions, assist customers, and support various shop departments including Barber Beauty Shop, Flower Shop, and Video Rental. Qualifications

• 6 months responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales.
• Graduation from a full 4 year or senior high school or GED may be substituted for the experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs cash register transactions: cash, check, charge, debit, layaway, gift certificate.
• Resolve customer problems and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist in training new associates in store programs and policies.
• Maintain shop inventories and assist with replenishment and monthly inventories.
• Assist with processing of Military Star Card applications and payments.
