Job summary

University Hospitals in Mentor, OH seeks a PRN Personal Trainer for the Mentor Fitness Center to tailor workouts to individual goals and health status with a strong focus on safety and proper form.

You will develop exercise programs, instruct clients, motivate sessions, market services, and maintain a client base while adhering to PHI policies; BLS/CPR and CPT credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and motivational skills required.
• Biomechanics knowledge and biofeedback use.
• Ability to respond to injuries with first aid.
• Excellent customer service and lifestyle coaching.
• Ability to measure heart rate, BP, and RPE.
• Skills to measure body composition and follow up education.
• Ability to teach and demonstrate exercises.
• Provides spotting techniques.
• Ability to adapt programs for chronic conditions.
• Cardio and strength equipment knowledge.
• Proficient in using phones/computers for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develops exercise programs based on goals and assessments.
• Instructs on form/technique; motivates while ensuring safety.
• Markets personal training services to members and non-members.
• Maintains a personal training client base.
• Performs other duties as assigned; adheres to policies and PHI rules.
