Job summary

YMCA of Greater Cleveland seeks a Personal Trainer to design and implement individualized workout regimens and conduct fitness assessments for members. You will recruit and obtain personal training clientele while promoting YMCA programs and services.

You will deliver safe, effective workouts, meet sales and client retention targets, and maintain detailed records of each training session. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, equipment upkeep, and member engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• BS in Exercise Science or Kinesiology preferred or must obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current national NCCA‑accredited Personal Trainer certification required before date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements customized fitness programs for members.
• Delivers safe, effective, fun workouts for clients.
• Meets personal training sales and client retention goals.
• Maintains accurate records and documents training sessions per YMCA policies.
• Ensures equipment safety and sanitation; reports maintenance issues.
