The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a part-time Personal Trainer to join our team at Lakewood, WA. You will design and lead personalized fitness sessions, assess health history, and guide members toward achievable goals with empowering coaching.

This role emphasizes in-person work across Pierce and Kitsap Counties, ensuring safe, inclusive training and accurate record-keeping while promoting the YMCA program and maintaining member trust and engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Personal Training Certification through a nationally accredited organization (NCCA-accredited preferred).
• Two years of experience in health and fitness field.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.
• Ability to work in-person at YMCA Centers across Pierce and Kitsap Counties; own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and instruct personalized PT sessions for members.
• Provide in-person PT sessions at YMCA Centers across Pierce and Kitsap Counties.
• Motivate and educate members to support health goals.
• Administer health history questionnaires and fitness assessments; document results.
• Offer feedback, encouragement, and instructions to maintain programs.
• Ensure sessions adhere to YMCA PT policies and are properly billed.
• Promote the YMCA personal training program and educate members on equipment use.
