Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Personal Trainer to join our team. You’ll design and lead personalized fitness sessions tailored to the individual’s goals, abilities, and lifestyle, creating programs that are engaging and empowering.

You’ll motivate members, conduct assessments, track progress, and deliver exceptional service across multiple YMCA Centers. This is a part-time, on-site role with ongoing training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Nationally accredited Personal Training Certification (NCCA) or equivalent.
• Two years of health/fitness experience.
• CPR/First Aid/AED/Oxygen certifications.
• Ability to work in-person at YMCA Centers across Pierce & Kitsap Counties.
• Must travel regularly to multiple centers and work during operating hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and instruct varied personal training sessions based on client goals and abilities.
• Provide in-person sessions at YMCA Centers throughout Pierce and Kitsap Counties.
• Assess health history, fitness levels, and track progress.
• Offer feedback, motivation, and program adjustments to members.
• Maintain records and ensure sessions are properly billed.
• Promote the YMCA personal training program and educate members on equipment use.
• Uphold a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all members.
