Job summary

YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Part-Time Personal Trainer to design and lead personalized fitness sessions, across multiple centers in Pierce and Kitsap Counties, including Gig Harbor. You will motivate members, assess progress, and promote healthier lifestyles within a welcoming YMCA environment.

The role requires NCCA-accredited certification (preferred), CPR/First Aid/AED, and ability to work varied hours including early mornings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Personal Trainer Certification through a nationally accredited organization (NCCA-accredited preferred).
• Two years of health and fitness field experience.
• CPR/First Aid/AED/Oxygen certifications.
• Ability to work in-person at all YMCA Centers throughout Pierce and Kitsap Counties.

Responsibilities

• Develop and instruct personal training sessions based on member goals and abilities.
• Provide in-person sessions at YMCA Centers across Pierce and Kitsap Counties.
• Track health history questionnaires and fitness assessments.
• Offer feedback, encouragement, and progression for ongoing programs.
• Promote YMCA personal training program and ensure sessions adhere to policies.
