Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Personal Trainer to design and lead personalized fitness sessions for members. You’ll tailor programs to individual goals, abilities, and lifestyles, delivering energizing and empowering workouts in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include health assessments, progress tracking, and promoting the YMCA personal training program while ensuring safety and inclusivity in all sessions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Personal Trainer Certification through a nationally accredited organization (NCCA-accredited preferred).
• Two years of experience in health and fitness fields.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certifications.
• Ability to work in-person at all YMCA Centers across Pierce & Kitsap Counties.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and instruct personal training sessions based on members' needs and abilities.
• Provide in-person sessions at all YMCA Centers across Pierce and Kitsap Counties.
• Offer encouragement and expertise to support health goals.
• Administer health history questionnaires, fitness assessments, and preparticipation documentation.
• Maintain records of training sessions and follow up with members timely.
