Job summary

YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking an Exercise Instructor for the Lakewood Family YMCA in Lakewood, WA. This part-time role, up to 25 hours per week, focuses on creating a safe, engaging group exercise environment for members.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in group exercise classes.
• Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED certifications.
• Pass background and reference checks per WA State Fair Chance Act.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fun, safe, and educational classes.
• Design classes to improve flexibility, strength, endurance, and cardio-respiratory fitness.
• Demonstrate techniques with different intensity levels.
• Build relationships with members.
• Assist in compiling program statistics.
