Responsibilities
- Deliver a positive fitness experience tailored to members' specific goals using scientifically based, personalized programs.
- Create value through one-on-one personal training, small group sessions, and engagement activities like fitness events and outreach.
- Drive member retention through motivation, accountability, and consistent, results-oriented fitness programs.
- Provide exceptional member service as a NYSC ambassador, addressing needs and providing solutions.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
- Utilize fitness tools effectively and maintain client records properly.
- Maintain current certifications and continuing education credits.
- Be punctual for all shifts and manage schedules proactively.
- Develop and implement SMART goal plans to meet revenue, sales, and retention targets.
- Address member issues promptly and escalate appropriately.
- Ensure fitness equipment and floor safety standards are met or exceeded.
- Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling sessions, updating availability, and following authorization policies.
- Proficiently use POS, membership, and other relevant computer systems.
- Collaborate with Fitness Leaders and Sales teams to meet new member needs and provide fitness services.
- Exceed revenue, session, and sales goals consistently.
- Engage members and prospects through various outreach activities.
- Maintain ongoing contact with clients to support accountability and progress.
- Deliver safe, effective, and documented fitness programs, including mid-program assessments.
- Customize fitness plans based on individual needs, goals, and schedules.
- Meet and maintain monthly and quarterly performance minimums.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Recreation, or related field preferred but not required.
- Previous personal training experience is a plus but not mandatory; experience in a corporate gym setting is preferred.
- Active Child & Adult AED/CPR certification.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical activities such as walking, climbing stairs, squatting, bending, and lifting.
- Technical skills in fitness programming and time management.
- Active certification from approved organizations such as ACE, ACSM, NASM, NSCA, and others listed, required for hire.
Scheduling Requirements
- Open availability, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Weekly schedule may include training sessions, administrative duties, meetings, prospecting, and maintaining cleanliness.
