Responsibilities
- Provide a positive fitness experience tailored to members' specific goals through scientifically based, personalized fitness programs.
- Create value via one-on-one personal training, small group sessions, and engagement activities like fitness events and outreach.
- Drive retention through motivation, accountability, and knowledge-based programs focused on growth and results.
- Deliver legendary member service as a NYSC ambassador, addressing member needs and business solutions.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
- Utilize fitness tools effectively and maintain client records properly.
- Maintain certifications and continuing education credits.
- Be punctual for all shifts.
- Create SMART goal action plans for revenue, sales, and retention.
- Address member issues promptly and escalate when necessary.
- Ensure safety and functionality of fitness equipment and floor standards.
- Complete administrative tasks like scheduling, rescheduling, and updating availability.
- Proficiently use POS, membership, and other business systems.
- Partner with team members to meet new member needs and provide fitness services.
- Meet and exceed revenue, session, and sales targets.
- Engage members and clients through prospecting and ongoing contact.
- Design and deliver safe, effective, and documented fitness programs.
- Work with clients to tailor programs to their needs and goals.
- Maintain monthly and quarterly production minimums.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- H.S. Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s preferred but not required.
- Experience not required; prior corporate gym experience preferred.
- Active Child & Adult AED/CPR certification.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds, walk, climb stairs, and demonstrate exercises.
- Good technical skills and time management.
- Active Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) from an approved certifying organization listed.
Scheduling Requirements
- Open availability, including early, late shifts, and weekends.
- Weekly activities include training, prospecting, administrative duties, and fitness orientations.
