Job summary

The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region in Belcamp/Aberdeen, Maryland, seeks a Personal Support Coach-DSP to provide dignified, person-centered supports in a residential setting. You will help with daily living, personal care, transportation, and community engagement, always upholding the agency's mission and state/federal guidelines.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; CNA/GNA and CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years’ experience in a residential setting preferred.
• CNA/GNA certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the mission of The Arc NCR and person-centered philosophy in all actions.
• Assist with personal care (toileting, feeding, hygiene) as needed.
• Assist with daily living skills (meal planning, shopping, grooming, job skills, home maintenance).
• Model good hygiene, appropriate dress, and respectful social interaction in all settings.
• Arrange scheduling and transportation to community events, worksites, and appointments.
• Maintain daily documentation (Caretracker data, medication, behavioral charting) and report concerns to nursing staff.
