Job summary

The Arc NCR in Maryland seeks a Community Living Coach-DSP to support individuals in residential settings, promoting independence and dignity. You will assist with personal care, daily living skills, transportation, and community involvement while following IPs, BPs, and agency policies.

This role requires a high school diploma, preferred CNA/GNA, CPR/First Aid, and a valid driver's license. You will document logs, participate in training, and help maintain a safe, respectful home environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years’ experience in a residential setting preferred.
• CNA/GNA Certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as toileting, feeding, hygiene, etc.
• Help with daily living skills: meal planning, shopping, grooming, etc.
• Schedule and transport to community events, worksites, and appointments.
• Maintain a clean, safe residence and complete logs (communication, medication, behavior).
• Administer medications timely and notify nursing staff of concerns.
• Develop, guide, and execute IPs; review Behavioral Plans; report abuse promptly.
• Complete incident reports; assist in peer training of new staff.
• Work with locations not regularly assigned; complete required trainings.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

CNA/GNA Certification preferred

CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred

Valid driver’s license
