Job summary

Triple-S is seeking an Underwriter for Personal Lines in Puerto Rico. You will evaluate new and renewal business, underwrite risks, and service producers to ensure timely coverage and customer satisfaction.

We require a Bachelor's degree (or Associates with relevant experience) and 1–5 years in underwriting or related roles. Strong knowledge of underwriting guidelines and risk assessment is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 1–3 years of experience as an Underwriter-Personal Lines preferred.
• Associate Degree (60–64 credits) with at least 3–5 years of related experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates new business and personal lines renewals to select risks and renewals according to underwriting guidelines.
• Provides guidance and service to producers by telephone, in writing or in person.
• Provides follow-up to new business to close files.
• Evaluates loss experience of policies to renew, identifies adverse experience, and notifies non-renewal when needed.
• Maintains direct relationship with producers for service needs.

Job Summary

Requires the ability to learn and follow policies, procedures and standards of your area, department and other related departments. Conducts planning efforts within your department, whether for day-to-day operational situations or assigned projects or to coordinate multiple resources within your department or division. Anticipates customer needs and acts proactively to achieve customer satisfaction. Responsible for influencing decisions through fundamental recommendations or opinions. Maintain a direct relationship with the Producers of the assigned accounts through immediate and effective attention to the service needs they present.

Experience

Bachelor's degree, preferably with 1 to 3 years of experience as an Underwriter-Personal Lines. Or, Associate Degree (60 to 64 college credits) with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in related roles.
