Job summary

Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. is seeking a Personal Lines Risk Solutions Consultant to cover the Connecticut and Massachusetts territory. The role allows for a fully remote arrangement with local travel, and is a full-time exempt position.

In this capacity, you will perform on-site home inspections, advise homeowners on risk management, and collaborate with underwriting and product teams to enhance risk solutions across Prestige clients.

Qualifications

• 4+ years Risk Solutions/Loss Control with a personal lines carrier.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Willingness to travel frequently in CT and MA.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site policy holder home inspections to evaluate risk and propose mitigations.
• Advise on risk management services including maintenance, security, and loss mitigation.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities for Marine and Auto coverages.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Underwriting and claims teams on risk solutions.
• Support content development for risk management by marketing.
• Represent Hanover at association activities and meetings.

Our Risk Solutions team is currently seeking a Personal Lines Risk Solutions Consultant to cover the Connecticut and Massachusetts territory. Position is eligible for a fully remote arrangement with local travel. This is a full-time, exempt role.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Role provides risk solutions support to Hanover’s Personal Lines division for Prestige clients.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Perform on-site policy holder home inspections to evaluate risk and recommend services and solutions to mitigate risk.
• Consult with policy holders on risk management services such as proactive home maintenance, disaster preparedness, security, and loss mitigation aids.
• Identify cross sell opportunities for additional coverages such as Marine and Auto.
• Participate in innovation pilots with the Personal Lines Product team.
• Support risk management content generation by Personal Lines Marketing team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with policyholders and agents.
• Collaboration with Underwriting, Risk Solutions home office technical and field teams, PL Product, PL Claim and PL Marketing.
• Participate in association and industry relations activities including attending meetings and conferences representing company.

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

• At least 4 years Risk Solutions/Loss Control field experience with a personal lines national/regional insurance carrier.
• Motivated self-starter with demonstrated initiative; ability to work independently.
• Building construction, homeowner, and marine insurance coverages, underwriting and claims.
