Job summary

Dahl Consulting is seeking a Personal Lines Product Development Manager to lead the design, enhancement, and ongoing management of personal auto, homeowners, and umbrella insurance products. The role focuses on data-driven recommendations to improve competitiveness and profitability, working with actuarial, underwriting, claims, compliance, IT, and project management teams.

You will evaluate product performance across multiple states, shape roadmaps, and present findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience working with C-Suite leadership is required.
• 3–5 years in insurance product development, actuarial services, product management, or analytics with progressive responsibility.
• Experience with personal lines products (Auto, Homeowners, Umbrella) preferred.
• Advanced Excel and database skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, evaluation, and recommendation of new personal lines products and enhancements.
• Analyze products across multiple states for risk, pricing adequacy, and competitiveness.
• Develop short- and long-term product roadmaps for assigned lines of business.
• Conduct market research and consumer impact analysis to identify opportunities.
• Apply actuarial rigor and analytical models to evaluate needs, loss trends, and profitability.
• Present product recommendations to C-Suite and senior leadership.
• Oversee implementation of product initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Communicate product changes to policyholders and staff while ensuring regulatory alignment.
