Job summary

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies is seeking a Product Analyst in the Personal Lines department to implement and monitor state rate changes, rules, and forms to support profitable growth and develop and maintain reports for rate strategy planning.

You will work with Underwriting, Sales, Actuarial and IT to implement rate changes, produce ad hoc analyses, and become the subject matter expert on a key area of product management.

Qualifications

• Must be able to extract, manipulate and analyze data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement complex rate changes independently.
• Develop and present small-scale initiatives to drive profitability.
• Become SME in a product management area (e.g., competitive intelligence, data sources, rate-making).
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Sales, Actuarial and IT to implement rate changes.

The Personal Lines department is currently seeking a product analyst to implement and monitor state rate changes, rules, and forms to support profitable growth and develop and maintain reports to help in the planning of rate strategies.

Be ready to:

• work independently to implement complex rate changes

• become the subject matter expert in some aspect of product management (competitive intelligence, data sources, minor lines rating)
• work with Underwriting, Sales, Actuarial and IT to implement rate changes
• create ad hoc reports to answer business questions

• demonstrated ability to extract, manipulate and analyze data
• excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• advanced skills in Microsoft® Excel
• proven time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
• ability to work independently
• candidates for the experienced job roles should also:
  • be technically proficient in data manipulation tools such as SAS, SQL, R or equivalent
  • have experience in rate making methodologies

You've Earned:

bachelor’s degree in business or an analytical field of study (math, economics, finance, statistics, actuarial science) or relevant work experience.
