Job summary

Nationwide’s internship program offers hands-on experience in business intelligence, reporting, and analysis within a Fortune 100 insurance leader. You’ll work on data-driven projects, develop dashboards, and present insights to partners while exploring multiple business areas and potential full-time opportunities after graduation.

As a Business Insights Intern, you’ll participate in professional development, networking events, and mentoring within analytics and business consulting disciplines,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
• Completion of sophomore or junior year preferred.
• Involvement in student activities, leadership experiences, internships, or relevant work experience preferred.
• 3.0 GPA or higher desired.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving, preparing, and analyzing data from internal and external sources to support business analysis and reporting.
• Leveraging analytical and statistical techniques to identify trends, evaluate business performance, and communicate findings to business partners.
• Completing tasks involving business intelligence, reporting, root cause analysis, and ad hoc business analyses.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations used by business leaders and stakeholders.
• Applying quantitative methods to help solve business problems and support data-driven decision-making.
• Assisting in the interpretation of data and development of recommendations that improve operational performance and business outcomes.
• Presenting findings, reports, presentations, and other materials that communicate actionable insights.
• Participating in department and company meetings, special projects, and professional development opportunities.
• Demonstrating curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and business concepts.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
