Job summary

Katalyst Systems Impact in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Licensed Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. The role focuses primarily on Personal Lines with some Commercial Lines support, and requires an active property & casualty license in Iowa.

You will maintain high client retention through excellent service, handle policy changes, quotes, and reviews, and proactively identify opportunities to expand personal lines coverage while advocating for clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Active Iowa Property & Casualty insurance license required.
• Minimum of 3 years of Personal Lines insurance experience strongly preferred.
• Experience using Epic agency management software preferred.
• Experience supporting or exposure to Commercial Lines accounts is a plus.
• Prior experience working within an independent insurance agency environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members
• Receive, document, and process all client service requests, including policy changes, auto ID cards, certificates, and coverage quotes
• Proactively round out existing accounts by identifying and selling additional personal lines coverages or policies
• Initiate outbound communication to conduct annual insurance reviews and recommend coverage updates
• Quote, review, and sell policies for inbound callers, walk-ins, referrals, and existing clients
• Provide risk management insight and clear coverage explanations tailored to client needs
• Support inbound sales opportunities and assist with claims advocacy as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and meet agency service, quality, and delivery standards
