CNR Insurance seeks an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join our Annapolis team. You will manage an established book, conduct coverage reviews, and act as a trusted advisor to clients and underwriters.
Your role emphasizes proactive renewals, client service, and growth through cross-selling protective options. You should bring years of personal lines experience, a Maryland license or ability to obtain it, and strong communication and organizational skills.
We’re Looking for Someone Exceptional
CNR Insurance is looking for an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team in our Annapolis office.
We aren’t simply looking to fill a seat. We are looking for an exceptional insurance professional — someone who is smart, driven, personable, polished, and genuinely takes ownership of their work.
The right person already understands personal insurance and knows how to take care of clients. You can have a thoughtful coverage conversation, recognize an exposure that others might miss, solve problems without needing constant direction, and confidently represent the agency with clients and insurance company partners.
You are the type of person who sees what needs to be done and does it.
If you’ve built a successful career in personal insurance but circumstances at your current company have changed — perhaps because of restructuring, an acquisition, a change in ownership, or simply because you’ve reached the point where you’re ready for something better — we’d be very interested in talking with you.
What You’ll Do
As an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager, you’ll manage and develop client relationships while serving as a trusted insurance advisor.
Your responsibilities will include:
The Person We’re Hoping to Find
Experience matters, but we’re equally interested in how you work.
Experienced. You have meaningful personal insurance experience and understand the business beyond simply processing transactions.
Smart and curious. You learn quickly, ask good questions, understand coverage, and want to know the reason behind what you’re doing.
Driven. You don’t need someone constantly reminding you what needs attention. You take responsibility for your clients and your results.
Personable and polished. You’re comfortable speaking with clients, prospects, underwriters, company representatives, and coworkers. You communicate professionally and present yourself well.
A problem solver. When something doesn’t fit neatly into the normal process, your instinct is to figure out a solution rather than simply pass the problem along.
Coverage-minded. You understand that good insurance advice is about more than price. You are comfortable recommending better protection when a client’s circumstances warrant it.
Organized. You can manage renewals, client requests, follow-ups, carrier requirements, and competing priorities without allowing important details to fall through the cracks.
Commercially minded. You understand that retaining clients, identifying additional needs, generating referrals, and writing new business are part of providing excellent service.
A team player. You’re confident enough to work independently but understand that a successful agency depends upon people helping one another.
A self-starter. Perhaps most importantly, you bring energy and initiative to the job. When you see an opportunity to help a client or improve something within the agency, you act on it.
