  • Lead initial carrier engagement through partnership launch, including executive relationship development, pitch positioning, and negotiation of commercial and operational terms
  • Develop a repeatable carrier onboarding playbook covering implementation milestones, training, technology/data exchange requirements, and launch governance
  • Establish a carrier performance governance cadence (monthly/quarterly) with shared scorecards and executive business reviews, focusing on placement performance, conversion, customer experience, retention, and operational service levels
  • Own the design, negotiation, and continuous improvement of revenue structures paid to us by carriers, including base commissions and other compensation
  • Inform overall placement strategy for personal lines insurance across our agency
  • In this early stage of our agency, provide thought leadership and agility across our agency formation activities – including involvement in ad hoc initiatives
  • Travel is expected [~20%] to carrier partner sites, industry events, and internal leadership meetings, with peaks during carrier onboarding and major negotiations.
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities
  • Minimum 5 years of personal lines P&C agency experience

  • Strong understanding of personal lines products (e.g., auto, homeowners, renters, umbrella) and carrier operating models, including underwriting appetite, pricing dynamics, and distribution economics
  • Familiarity with carrier connectivity models and operational integration concepts (e.g., data exchange, quoting/binding workflows)
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
