Job summary

Your Policy, LLC. in Williston, ND is hiring for a full-time Personal Lines Insurance Specialist. You will own a book of personal insurance clients, handling home, auto and related policies, renewals, endorsements and application assistance.

You will review renewals, discuss coverage options, and maintain detailed records. The role emphasizes customer service, policy accuracy, and proactive communication in a West Region team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Active property and casualty licensing required (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in personal lines insurance.
• Knowledge of personal insurance products (home, auto, renters, umbrella).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

The role

You’ll own a book of personal insurance clients and be their main contact for their home, auto and other personal policies. You’ll keep coverage accurate, help clients through changes and renewals, and make sure every interaction lives up to our promise. This is a full-time position on our West Region Personal Lines team in our Williston, ND office.

What you’ll do

• Service an assigned book of personal lines accounts (auto, home, umbrella and related lines), including endorsements, policy changes, ID cards and certificates
• Review renewals, re-market accounts when needed, and explain coverage options clearly
• Answer client calls and emails promptly and professionally
• Work with carriers on underwriting requests, billing questions and cancellations or reinstatements
• Spot coverage gaps and cross-sell opportunities, and refer them to producers
• Keep detailed, accurate records in the agency management system
• Work closely with the Personal Insurance Service Manager and team to hit service standards

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Licensing: Active property and casualty required (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in personal lines insurance.
• Knowledge of common personal insurance products (e.g., home, auto, renters, umbrella).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to build rapport and close sales in a competitive environment.
