Job summary

OnderLaw LLC in Clayton, MO is seeking a Paralegal to be the primary point of contact for new personal injury clients. You will perform welcome calls, review retainers and required documents to ensure accurate setup in SmartAdvocate and other firm platforms.

You will draft legal correspondence, including subpoenas, pleadings, and demands, and assist attorneys in trial preparation. Workers' compensation docket experience is preferred, alongside strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Personal Injury paralegal experience required.
• Worker’s compensation experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Familiarity with SmartAdvocate or similar case management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all new clients and conduct welcome calls.
• Review retainers and required documentation to ensure accurate setup in the firm’s core platform, SmartAdvocate.
• Obtain necessary documents from third parties such as insurance carriers, police departments, and medical providers.
• Draft subpoenas, pleadings, and demands; assist attorneys in trial preparation.
• Handle Attorney’s worker’s compensation docket and related tasks.
• Conduct investigative research and perform administrative duties while maintaining professional communication with clients, courts, attorneys, paralegals, and outside parties.
