Job summary

Bush & Bush Law Group in Carrollton, TX seeks a dedicated Personal Injury Paralegal to support our attorneys in personal injury and employment law matters. The ideal candidate will manage case files, draft documents, and coordinate communications with clients, ensuring a thorough and efficient process.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Legal Studies or Paralegal Studies, 5+ years PI paralegal experience, excellent communication, and proficiency with MS Office and case management software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field preferred; paralegal certification is a plus.
• 5+ years of paralegal experience in a personal injury firm preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; able to manage multiple assignments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client and team interactions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and organize legal documents including pleadings and discovery requests.
• Maintain and manage active case files for attorneys and clients.
• Assist in discovery: gather evidence, summarize documents, organize materials.
• Serve as liaison between clients and attorneys with professionalism and empathy.
• Track deadlines and manage the legal calendar for hearings and depositions.
• Assist in trial prep: exhibits and materials organization.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries as needed.

Position Overview

The Personal Injury Paralegal will play a crucial role in assisting our legal team by managing case files, preparing legal documents, and facilitating communication between clients and attorneys. Your expertise and organizational skills will help ensure a thorough and efficient case process for our clients who are navigating challenging moments in their lives.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Document Management: Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and client correspondence.
• Case File Organization: Maintain and manage active case files to ensure all necessary documentation is available for attorneys and clients.
• Discovery and Evidence: Assist attorneys in the discovery process, including gathering evidence, summarizing documents, and organizing case-related materials.
• Client Interaction: Serve as a liaison between clients and attorneys, providing case updates and answering client inquiries with professionalism and compassion.
• Calendar Management: Track important deadlines and manage the legal calendar for hearings, depositions, and administrative tasks.
• Trial Preparation: Assist in preparing exhibits and trial materials, ensuring everything is organized and ready prior to court appearances.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
