Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an experienced personal injury attorney in Arlington, TX to own and manage a full docket from filing through trial. You will develop litigation strategy, take and defend depositions, and lead settlement negotiations with an emphasis on trial readiness and favorable client outcomes.

The role offers direct collaboration with a team of attorneys and support staff, with meaningful courtroom exposure and ownership of high-stakes cases in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• Strong legal writing, negotiation and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience managing personal injury litigation and trial exposure.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal injury docket from filing through trial.
• Develop litigation strategy and move cases toward resolution or trial.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Appear at hearings and argue motions before the court.
• Represent clients at mediations and lead settlement negotiations.
• Evaluate case value, liability and litigation risk.
• Prepare witnesses, exhibits, and case strategy for trial.
• Try cases when beneficial for the client.

• Own meaningful personal injury cases from litigation filing through trial and directly influence outcomes for injured clients.
• Take the lead on depositions, hearings, mediations, negotiations, and courtroom advocacy.

• Trial experience.

• Ability to independently manage a busy litigation docket.
• Strong legal writing, case evaluation, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Stable professional work history.
• Strong organization, ownership, and deadline management.
