Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of experience negotiating medical liens in a personal injury setting.
• Familiar with lien types: Medi-Cal, Medicare, hospital liens, private insurance, ERISA.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a high caseload.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Aufgaben

• Review case files and gather all lien-related documentation
• Contact healthcare providers, insurance companies, and government agencies to negotiate reductions on outstanding liens
• Accurately document all negotiations and communications in the firm’s case management system
• Draft settlement disbursement summaries reflecting final lien amounts and client net proceeds
• Monitor deadlines and follow up diligently to ensure timely resolution of liens
• Understand and apply applicable regulations, including Medi-Cal, Medicare, ERISA, and hospital lien laws
• Identify unreasonable charges and challenge them appropriately using medical records and case facts
• Communicate with clients when necessary to explain lien resolutions and net amounts
