L.A. Injury Attorneys in Burbank is seeking a Lien Negotiator to handle post-settlement liens, including health insurance and hospital liens, ensuring clients receive the best possible recovery.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of lien negotiation experience, strong communication skills, and is proficient with MS Office and FileVine. This is a full-time, on-site role offering a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of personal injury lien negotiation experience.
• Knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, Medicaid and private health insurance lien processes.
• Experience with medical bills and records.
• Proficient with MS Office and FileVine.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and client files to identify all related bills and liens.
• Compile and tabulate all associated client costs, medical bills, and fees.
• Report all statutory liens, including Medi-Cal, Medicare, private health insurance.
• Communicate with providers and creditors to confirm lien amounts and negotiate liens.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of negotiations, agreements, and communications pertaining to lien resolution.
• Draft reduction letters to resolve and negotiate medical liens.
• Serve as the contact for clients after case resolution to provide regular updates and correspond by phone and email with creditors and providers.
• Draft closing documents and disbursement statements.
• Issue checks to providers and clients.
• Complete other office tasks assigned by management.
