Marcari, Russotto, Spencer & Balaban, P.C, is seeking a detail-oriented Personal Injury Legal Assistant in Chesapeake, VA. This role supports paralegals and attorneys with day-to-day operations of the firm’s practice.

The position requires 1–2 years of clerical experience, strong organizational skills, and a client-focused, dependable work ethic. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. On-site work with opportunities for advancement is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years clerical/administrative experience.
• Prior experience supporting paralegals or attorneys preferred.
• Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to requests.
• Polished and professional; Positive, client-oriented attitude.
• Able to manage and balance multiple tasks and priorities.
• Dependability and consistently at work on time.
• Candidate must have at least a high school diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Process and input new client matters and documentation into the Firm's case management system.
• Assist paralegal in preparing routine engagement letters and their distribution.
• Assist paralegal in obtaining medical records/bills related to client treatment.
• Assist paralegal in verifying, confirming, and documenting account balances with medical personnel.
• Prepare and maintain both hard-copy and electronic files, ensuring their accuracy and completeness.
• Perform clerical and administrative tasks such as word processing, filing, copying, and scanning to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of paralegal files.
