Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Defense Attorney to join our team in a permanent role. The position supports handling complex catastrophic injury cases with a minimum of 3 years of PI defense experience and bar admission.

Salary ranges from $180,000 to $280,000 per year with options for 100% remote, hybrid, or onsite work. The firm offers unlimited PTO, multiple bonus programs, and a 15% origination plan, along with 1850 billables and supportive leadership.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury defense.
• Proven track record of litigating and settling PI cases.
• Excellent negotiation and interpretation of complex legal information.
• Proficient in legal research software and case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a case from inception to conclusion, including drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlement discussions, and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in personal injury cases.
• Conduct legal research and gather evidence to support defense strategy.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patents, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
• Confer with colleagues to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.
• Evaluate findings and develop strategies for case presentation.
• Advise clients concerning business transactions, liability, and legal rights and obligations.
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
• Advocate for clients in trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.

What You’ll Do

• Manage all aspects of a case from inception to conclusion, including drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlement discussions, and trial preparation.

• Act as an advocate for clients in legal proceedings, representing them in trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations before courts, judges, and other authorities.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury defense
• Proven track record of successfully litigating and settling personal injury cases.
• Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to interpret complex legal information.
• Proficient in legal research software and case management systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to interface at all levels of the organization and with external clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
