Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of data entry, medical records, or healthcare administrative experience.
• Strong typing and data accuracy skills.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Comfortable working in EMR systems and document management platforms.
• High level of attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Enter new Personal Injury patient intake forms into the EMR and PI tracking systems.
• Accurately input patient demographics, accident details, employer information, and insurance data.
• Enter attorney, case, and lien information as provided.
• Verify all data for completeness and accuracy before finalizing records.
• Upload, label, and organize intake documents, accident reports, and legal forms.
• Maintain standardized naming conventions and filing practices.
• Review data for missing, inconsistent, or incorrect information.
• Flag discrepancies and follow up with intake staff, attorneys, or patients when needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect sensitive patient and legal information.
• Coordinate with front desk, PI coordinators, and billing teams to ensure smooth case flow.
• Track intake volumes and report backlogs or errors.
• Assist with audits, reporting, and case reviews when requested.
