Job summary

Confidential Employer in Phoenix is seeking an experienced attorney to handle personal injury litigation from active litigation through settlement or trial, with meaningful case ownership and opportunities to gain first-chair experience.

You will work with seasoned attorneys, receive mentorship, and participate in depositions, mediations, motions, arbitrations, and jury trials. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Arizona Bar license.
• Active California Bar license.
• 1+ year of personal injury law experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent client communication and courtroom advocacy abilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, cases, and deadlines.
• Hands-on litigation experience with discovery, depositions, motions, mediation, or trial preparation.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of personal injury litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Manage cases from active litigation through settlement, arbitration, or trial.
• Take and defend depositions and represent clients in court, mediation, and arbitration.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, settlement agreements, and other persuasive legal documents.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance representatives.
• Communicate frequently and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Independently manage an active caseload while collaborating with attorneys and support staff.
• Gain first-chair and second-chair experience in arbitrations and jury trials.
• Work on matters involving auto accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, elder abuse, sexual abuse, and other serious personal injury claims.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
