Description du poste

Plaintiff Personal Injury | Litigation | Texas

We are conducting a confidential search for a Personal Injury Attorney to join a growing plaintiff-side litigation practice in Texas.

This opportunity is for an attorney who wants meaningful ownership of cases, direct client responsibility, and substantive litigation experience from intake through resolution.

The person hired will manage an active personal injury caseload, develop case strategy, handle discovery and depositions, appear in court and mediation, and work closely with paralegals and support staff to move matters forward efficiently.

This is a strong fit for an attorney who wants to build deeper litigation experience while representing injured clients through some of the most difficult circumstances of their lives.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 6 to 12 months, the person hired will be expected to:

Take Ownership of Personal Injury Matters
  • Manage assigned cases from intake through settlement or litigation.
  • Maintain command of liability, damages, medical treatment, deadlines, discovery, and the next strategic step required to move each case forward.
Drive Cases Through Litigation
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, and other litigation documents.
  • Move cases deliberately rather than allowing them to sit between procedural events.
Handle Depositions and Court Appearances
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
  • As experience allows, take increasing ownership of depositions and courtroom advocacy independently.
  • Analyze medical records, liability evidence, damages, insurance issues, and other case-specific information.
  • Use that information to determine the best path toward resolution while maintaining appropriate pressure on opposing parties and carriers.
Deliver Strong Client Communication
  • Maintain regular contact with clients throughout the life of the case.
  • Explain developments clearly, manage expectations, answer questions professionally, and help clients understand what happens next.
Manage a High-Volume Caseload Without Losing Control
  • Balance multiple active matters, deadlines, court settings, client communications, and litigation priorities.
  • Success means cases remain organized and progressing even when volume increases.
Work Effectively With the Litigation Team
  • Collaborate closely with paralegals, legal assistants, senior attorneys, co-counsel, and other professionals involved in the matter.
  • Delegate appropriately while maintaining personal responsibility for case progression and client outcomes.
Prepare Cases for Resolution or Trial
  • Build each matter with the expectation that it may need to be tried.
  • Develop the evidence, testimony, written record, and litigation strategy necessary to create leverage in settlement discussions and prepare for trial when required.
The Experience That Should Prepare You for This

The firm is looking for evidence that you can already operate effectively within a plaintiff litigation environment.

A strong candidate will likely have:

  • A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Approximately 2+ years of litigation experience
  • Experience handling personal injury matters
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
  • Exposure to depositions, hearings, mediations, or trial preparation
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • The ability to manage multiple active cases and deadlines
  • The ability to work effectively with paralegals and litigation support staff
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • A proactive approach to case strategy and case progression
  • Experience with motor vehicle accidents, catastrophic injury, workplace injury, wrongful death, mass tort, or other plaintiff-side injury matters would be particularly relevant.
Why Someone Would Consider This Move

  • Represent injured individuals directly and help guide them through significant legal and personal challenges.
  • Strengthen your ability to evaluate cases, develop strategy, negotiate effectively, and advocate in court.
More career runway
  • Build the experience required to become a stronger plaintiff-side litigator while working within a growing practice.
The Environment

This is a fast-paced plaintiff-side personal injury environment where attorneys are expected to take ownership, communicate well, and move cases forward.

The firm offers support from paralegals, legal assistants, and experienced attorneys while giving attorneys meaningful responsibility for their own matters.

The practice handles a range of personal injury cases and values strong advocacy, client service, collaboration, and measurable results.

Compensation is competitive and based on experience, with bonus potential.

  • Medical insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off

Who Should Have the Conversation
