Jobot is seeking a skilled Personal Injury Attorney for our Hartford, CT office. This on-site, permanent role handles a personal injury caseload from intake through trial, develops tailored litigation strategies, and negotiates settlements to maximize client outcomes.

You will join a boutique plaintiff firm offering a strong compensation package with quarterly bonuses and profit sharing. Requirements: JD from an accredited school, active license in CT, and at least 2 years PI litigation

Competenze

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in CT with good standing.
• At least 2 years of attorney experience handling personal injury litigation.
• Demonstrated trial experience and ability to present cases in court.
• Strong knowledge of personal injury law, civil procedure, evidence, discovery, and negotiation.
• Excellent legal research, writing, oral advocacy, and analytical skills.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal injury caseload from intake and investigation through discovery, negotiation, trial, and resolution.


• Develop tailored litigation strategies based on liability, damages, available evidence, and client objectives.


• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.


• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement demands, briefs, and other legal documents.


• Conduct depositions and prepare clients, witnesses, and experts for testimony.


• Evaluate medical records, accident reports, insurance policies, and expert opinions to support case valuation and presentation.


• Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel while preparing cases to proceed to trial when appropriate.


• Keep clients informed, explain legal options clearly, and provide responsive, compassionate guidance throughout their cases.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.


• Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction and good standing with the relevant bar.


• At least 2 years of attorney experience handling personal injury litigation.


• Demonstrated trial experience, including preparing and presenting cases in court.


• Strong knowledge of personal injury law, civil procedure, evidence, discovery, and settlement negotiation.


• Excellent legal research, writing, oral advocacy, and analytical skills.
