Job summary

NPAworldwide seeks an experienced plaintiff personal injury attorney in Chicago to take ownership of cases from intake to settlement. You will develop strategy, negotiate ethically, and advocate for clients with strong communication and organizational skills.

You will work closely with a team of legal assistants, case managers, and other attorneys, handling high-value cases across Illinois with mentorship and support from senior colleagues. Strong client service is essential.

Qualifications

• Active attorney in good standing.
• 5+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of Illinois personal injury law and procedures.
• Experience managing a significant personal injury caseload.

What You'll Own

The Case

You will take ownership of personal injury cases from intake through settlement, developing the strategy and driving the case forward.

You’ll

• Conduct strategic investigations into liability, damages, and case value
• Analyze medical records, evidence, and other case-related documentation
• Develop case strategy and identify opportunities to maximize value
• Draft and review demand packages and other legal documents
• Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel
• Evaluate settlement offers and make strategic recommendations
• Maintain a strong understanding of the legal and factual issues affecting each case

The Client Experience

• You’ll be responsible for helping them understand the legal process
• Set the expectations
• Answer their questions
• Making sure they feel informed and supported throughout their case.

• Have 5+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience preferred

• Have experience managing a significant personal injury caseload

• Communicate confidently and empathetically with clients
• Are highly organized and detail-oriented
• Take ownership of your cases and follow through

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
