Job summary

Legacy Healthcare Services, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Personal Fitness Trainer / Rehab Tech (PRN) to support senior residents with StayFit and LiveWell programs.

You will develop and document fitness plans, deliver individual and group sessions, and assist with billing and documentation under supervision. Required: high school diploma or GED, current nationally recognized fitness certification (ACSM/NSCA/NASM/ACE/ISSA), CPR/AED, and strong customer-service skills; preferred are 1+

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• College graduate preferred with bachelor’s degree in related field of study such as exercise science, kinesiology, etc.
• Current personal training or group fitness certification from a nationally recognized and accredited organization (ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA) is required.
• Preferred 1+ year personal training or group fitness experience.
• Previous experience with senior population desirable.
• Customer service skills to deliver an exemplary experience.
• CPR/AED Certification must be current.
• Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

• Perform and document StayFit services with residents under guidance of Rehabilitation Director.
• Provide personal fitness through Legacy’s StayFit program and complete required billing and documentation.
• Deliver StayFit treatment plans to improve health, fitness levels, and goals.
• Provide group fitness and wellness services through LiveWell Program.
• Meet efficiency standards and participate in department and facility meetings.

This individual will play a vital role in promoting wellness, independence, and overall functionality among our senior resident population. The Personal Fitness trainer / Rehab Tech will provide a fun and challenging experience, and will discuss, motivate, and teach the fitness member to improve and maintain their fitness and strength. The Personal Fitness Trainer / Rehab Tech is responsible for identifying goals, delivering tailored exercise plans for personal fitness and group sessions in accordance with Legacy’s program structure. The Personal Fitness Trainer / Rehab Tech will assist with marketing the StayFit program to increase membership.
