Overview

This position will provide personal financial services at assigned military installations. The role is focused on delivering comprehensive financial counseling and management to military service members and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one counseling, consultation with commanders or other staff, briefings and presentations, or referral resources to participants outside counseling sessions.
• Work closely with installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to ensure the program stays within scope and meets installation needs.
• Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develop and make available informational financial materials to service members and families.
• Coordinate, publicise, and deliver a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering topics across the military lifecycle (arrival at first duty station, pre‑ and post‑deployment, personal and career events outlined in DoDI1322.34).
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilise virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication such as web‑based, secure online chat, video‑based communication, or secure video teleconferencing sponsored by the customer.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information about trends and issues on the installation.
• Participate in regular in‑services/training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned or appropriate.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Recognise that the duties listed are representative and not all‑inclusive; leaders may assign additional duties aligned with the job intent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (an associate degree plus 4years of experience, or a high school diploma plus 6years of experience, may be considered).
• 3+years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish may be required by contract.
• Ability to obtain a favourably adjudicated Tier2 investigation.
• Successful completion of the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Minimum: $58,440. Salary Maximum: $93,500. Actual pay will be adjusted based on skills, experience, education, and other permissible factors. The position may be eligible for short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
