Qualifications

• Hold the insurance license as required by the state and have a minimum of two years personal and commercial lines insurance account management experience, plus a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting procedures, and industry operations to manage client accounts.
• Strong customer focus with excellent phone etiquette, written and verbal communication, and basic math and reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer calls and correspondence regarding new or existing policies and service all claims.
• Qualify prospects, gather data, compare policy options, finalize and bind new coverage, and renewals.
• Schedule client calls to review policies, adjust liability limits, explore coverage needs, and bind renewals.
• Explain products and services, quote new business, process renewals or cancellations, take payments, and provide documentation.
• Actively seek increases in coverage or rounding out accounts at every contact.
• Resolve issues by identifying causes and presenting best solutions, then follow up for resolution.
• Maintain records of customer interactions in the agency management system.
• Review audits or policies for accuracy and coordinate with clients and carriers.
• Stay informed about industry information, new products, legislation, and technology to improve knowledge and performance.
