Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide supports individuals by assisting with personal hygiene and household tasks, enabling them to remain in their own homes.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager, and notify immediately of any incidents or accidents
• Drive safely, follow traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during travel for work
• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transferring patients between beds, chairs, and toilets
• Help with household tasks essential to the client's personal care

Education and Experience

Desired Experience

• At least six months of home care experience preferred
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation

License Requirements

• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation

Skill Requirements

• Flexibility to work hours needed to meet patient needs
• Ability to work independently in diverse home environments
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
