Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household tasks to help individuals remain in their own homes.

• Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notify immediately of any incidents or accidents.
• Drive safely, adhere to traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during travel.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transfers between bed, chair, and wheelchair. Also assist with toileting needs.
• Help with household tasks essential to the client's personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months of home care experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation

License Requirements

• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation

Skill Requirements

• Flexibility to work hours as needed to meet patient needs
• Ability to work independently in any home situation, regardless of patient demographics
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills
