Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks to enable individuals to remain in their own homes.

• Report observations of the client’s condition to the Agency Director or account manager and notify immediately of any incidents or accidents.
• Drive safely, adhere to traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during travel.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transfers.
• Assist with household tasks essential to the client’s personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired:

• Six months of home care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements:

• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Skill Requirements:

• Flexibility to work hours as needed.
• Ability to work independently in diverse home environments.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
