Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household tasks to help individuals remain in their own homes.

• Report observations of the client’s condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notify immediately of any incidents or accidents.
• Drive safely, comply with traffic laws, and wear a seat belt when traveling for work.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transfers between bed, chair, and wheelchair. Assist with toileting needs.
• Help with household tasks essential to the client’s personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months of home care experience preferred.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle or public transportation.

Skill Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours to meet patient needs.
• Ability to work independently in diverse home situations.
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
