Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community Based Services Aide provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household tasks to help individuals remain in their own homes.

1. Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or manager. Notify immediately of any incidents or accidents.
2. Drive safely, follow traffic laws, and wear a seat belt when traveling for work.
3. Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transfers.
4. Help with household tasks directly related to the client's personal care.

Education and Experience

Preferred Experience

1. Six months of home care experience preferred.
2. Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

1. Current CPR certification.
2. Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Skill Requirements

1. Flexible hours as needed to meet patient needs.
2. Ability to work independently in diverse home situations.
3. Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
