Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking Personal Care Attendants / Certified Nursing Assistants to support residents at NorthPointe Terrace. Position covers 7:30a–3:30p and 2p–10:30p shifts, with 24–28 hours weekly.

Responsibilities include ADL support, medication assistance under RN supervision, and ensuring safety and quality care. Requirements: accredited CNA program completion, valid IL CNA certification, CPR within 3 months, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited CNA program.
• Current IL CNA certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR certification within 3 months.
• Must complete the required medication training course.
• Maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality at all times.
• Works collaboratively with peers and all team members.
• Follows up promptly and thoroughly with appropriate staff, tenants, or other individuals regarding reported complaints, problems, and concerns.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
• Provide high-quality services for tenants and their families.
• Attain and maintain compliance with local/state/federal standards.
• Assist residents with medications under supervision of a Registered Nurse after medication training.
• Escort tenants to dining room, assist with meals and cleaning during mealtimes.
• Conduct room checks and tenant rounds, monitoring environmental and safety hazards.
• Record incidents and report to Director within 1 hour of occurrence.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and directors to support resident independence and choice.

Personal Care Attendants/Certified Nursing Assistant will assist residents who are functionally, physically, and or socially impaired and need assistance with supportive, nursing, and personal care. The PCA/CNA is responsible to assist tenants with those activities of daily living that they are unable to perform without help, fostering at all times residents' independence and freedom of choice.

• Assures the provision of high-quality services needed and/or desired by tenants and their families.
• Attains and/or maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, state, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards.
• Maintains high level of involvement/participation in all tenant activities. Provides Activity Coordinator and Director with ongoing feedback/suggestions regarding the activity program.
• Assists residents to self-administer medications under supervision of Registered Nurse and after completion of approved medication course.
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living for tenants
• Provides assistance with instrumental activities of daily living
• Conducts room checks and tenant rounds/checks and monitors for environmental and safety hazards.
• Records incidents, errors, and accidents. Reports such occurrences to Director within 1 hour.
