Job summary

Beloit Health System has immediate opportunities for Personal Care Attendants/Certified Nursing Assistants to join NorthPointe Terrace. Shift: 2nd; Schedule: 2p.-10:30 pm; Hours per week: 40. Benefits Eligible. Department: NorthPointe Terrace.

CNAs assist residents with daily living activities, monitor safety, and support medication administration under RN supervision. Requires IL CNA certification, CPR within 3 months, and a completed CNA program.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited CNA program.
• Must have Current IL CNA certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• CPR Certification within 3 months.
• Must complete the required medication training course.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and daily routines.
• Provide support with medications under RN supervision after course completion.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow regulatory standards.
• Escort residents to dining areas and assist with meals.
• Record incidents and report to Director within 1 hour.

Personal Care Attendants/Certified Nursing Assistant will assist residents who are functionally, physically, and or socially impaired and need assistance with supportive, nursing, and personal care. The PCA/CNA is responsible to assist tenants with those activities of daily living that they are unable to perform without help, fostering at all times residents' independence and freedom of choice.

• Assures the provision of high-quality services needed and/or desired by tenants and their families.
• Attains and/or maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, state, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards.
• Maintains high level of involvement/participation in all tenant activities. Provides Activity Coordinator and Director with ongoing feedback/suggestions regarding the activity program.
• Assists residents to self-administer medications under supervision of Registered Nurse and after completion of approved medication course.
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living for tenants
• Provides assistance with instrumental activities of daily living
• Conducts room checks and tenant rounds/checks and monitors for environmental and safety hazards.
• Records incidents, errors, and accidents. Reports such occurrences to Director within 1 hour.
